Gibbous is an adventure game we’ve been working on for the past 4 years. It’s about a black kitty that gets transformed into a walking, talking abomination, and her quest to return to a life of sleeping, eating and being generally decorative.

But the real star of Gibbous is Kitteh.. She’s, uh… she’s a bit of a grouch.

We’re a 3 person team from Transylvania, Romania. We used to do crappy contract work, then throughout 2015 we used our spare time to make a demo of our dream game. We launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2016, we were funded, and have been working full time on Gibbous ever since.

Uh, we thought we'd be done with the game by late 2017… Suprise, surprise – we weren’t.

​

We spent 2017 in heavy crunch mode, putting in 10-14 hours a day.

​

That was a BAD idea. Don’t do that. Better to have the game come out late than sacrifice your own health. It’s awesome, but it’s just a video game.

Say no to crunch!

We’re launching this summer on Steam and GOG, and once it’s out on PC we’ll get to porting it to Switch.

So, the takeaway? We have no idea whether Gibbous will sell well, break even, or break our hearts (and wallets).

But was it worth spending 3 years making it? HELL YES.

YOLO and all that – if you do get one chance to bring your dream project into the real world, just jump at it.
