Making Freedom was a way for me to refine my programming skills and see how well I can make a game on my own. Freedom has evolved from the custom loading bars of Game Maker 8.x to the non-existent loading bars, cameras, and layers of GameMaker (Studio 2), and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
This will be a discussion of some of the more technical aspects of making the game, along with a general thought process that can be applied to other engines.
