AFAR: An Interactive Horror Film is a solo-developed FMV horror experience by filmmaker Jason Trost. Shot entirely in the Australian rainforest, it fuses 90s survival horror vibes with cinematic storytelling inspired by Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Players explore eerie environments and make choices that shape their fate. Written, filmed, edited, and designed entirely by Trost, AFAR feels like uncovering a cursed horror disc from 1997.
