Forsaken centers on survivors exploring abandoned villages to find a place to settle. To test core gameplay, we started with static, handcrafted maps. However, after months of playtesting, the layout became incredibly predictable. We tried shuffling game events across the map, but it wasn't enough to break the monotony. If you find your own game monotonous as a developer, how can you make it the best possible? To fix this, we are now implementing a procedural village generator.
